Here are a few things that we do know about this plant.

Aloes are thought to have originated in tropical Africa and now are cultivated in America in Texas, California, and Florida. Aloe Vera contains vitamins A, C, E, B12, thiamine, niacin and folic acid; as well as the minerals sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium, manganese, copper, zinc, chromium, and iron. It stimulates collagen synthesis and increases the degree of collagen cross linking.

Aloe Vera contains a component that acts against fungal infections, viruses such as herpes and also kills bacteria. It is soothing, smells good and is helpful in the treatment of pain, burns, skin injuries, eczema, and psoriasis.

Research has shown that Aloe Vera can penetrate human skin faster than water. When combined with other herbal ingredients, Aloe Vera will carry them to the deeper layers of the skin quickly. Aloe Vera has an anti-aging effect on the skin and acts as an anti-inflammatory pain reliever.
