Pseudofolliculitis Barbae

The medical name for common shaving bumps is
pseudolliculitis barbae. The word pseudo means false, or
deceptive resemblance. Folliculitis barbae refers to
infection of the hair follicles in the beard region.

Pseudofolliculitis barbae has the deceptive resemblance of
folliculitis barbae, but infection is not the cause.

If infection is not the cause, then what is the cause of
common shaving bumps?

The cause of most common shaving bumps is an inflammatory
reaction of the skin to shaving.

Now, the next question is, what's the most common cause of

an inflammatory reaction of the skin to shaving?

An inflammatory reaction of the skin to shaving has
several causes:

(1) Using the wrong razor for your skin/hair type, or using
a dull razor.

(2) Some people think that hair characteristics are a major
cause.

(3) My conclusion here at KleenShave.Com is that Poor
hydration of the whiskers before shaving, is the
primary cause of inflammatory skin reactions to shaving.
But, there is a relationship between hair characteristics
and poor whisker hydration. All hair types do not
hydrate equally. Just think about your African American
friend's hair at the beach or pool.

KleenShave is a whisker hydration equalizer. When your
whiskers are fully moisturized, and you use a good sharp
razor, there is very little or no inflammatory skin
reaction. So, get a good razor, and use KleenShave herbal
foam lather.

In addition to it's hydration action, KleenShave's
essential oils provide natural antinflammatory, antibiotic
and antiseptic benefits.
